Forena Reports will be a reporting application that is designed to compete with other enterprise reporting systems. I've spent the last several years working in this space and am anxious to bring the best of web content management systems to the world of enterprise reporting. I've had great success in developing other web reporting systems for clients, and am hoping to bring together the worlds of content management and database reporting.FeaturesThe current 6.x-1.x-dev version allows you to create reports using SQL from drupal. It comes bundled with a couple of administrative reports that will both demonstrate how reports are created, and provide useful information on your existing drupal site. This product will be under heavy development between now and July, 2010.Right now you can:* Create custom reports from your Drupal database.* Create reports against PDO supported database.* Create reports against any Oracle database.* Create and Edit HTML reports using a simple web UI (includes WYSIWYG editor support).DocumentationDocumentation is provided with the module. The module comes with "Help Reports" which serve as example reports and also describe how to use and extend Forena Reports. Use the README.txt file for installation instructions.Where does it get its name?The project name is derived from the Swedish word that means to connect.
