YaWPS (Yet another Web Portal System) is a hybrid between a content management system and a web portal for medium- or small-sized Internet- or Intranetsites. All system maintenance is done via a webinterface, so no special tools are needed for administrators or moderators. All client output is valid HTML4. YaWPS works on most common UNIX platforms as well as on Windows platforms. Features:Easy to use - Only a webserver and Perl 5 needed to run YaWPS. - Simple installation: Just upload YaWPS into your webspace, set correct permissions on the filesystem and you are ready to go! - Since YaWPS doesn't use a relational database to store data it can be used almost "everywhere". - YaWPS supports mod_perl. Modularized - Modules can be configured with a click using the module administration system. Personalization - Registered users can edit their profiles, select site themes, upload custom avtars, and much more! User Management - The ability to search for users by various criteria, send private messages to users, submitting articles, links and many more. Language Support - Fully supports multiple languages, including english, german, french, spanish, italian, portuguese, russian, chinese, etc. Versatile Group Permissions System - Powerful and user-friendly permissions system which enables administrators to set permissions by group. Theme-based skinnable interface - YaWPS is completely driven by a theme system. Both admins and users can change the look of the entire web site with just a click of a mouse.
