The script comes with a nice interface to restore data that can utilize text, '(c)dialog' or even 'Xdialog'.It will produce full backups, but utilizes hardlinks to minimize the needed disk space. All remote data transfer is done encrypted (ssh) and efficient (rsync).All runtime configuration is done with an easy and short configuration file, which will not shorten your possibilities.All data will be stored on the remote host in the directory 'backup_dir/hostname/date', where 'hostname' is the hostname of the local machine. This way you can backup more than one machine to the same remote host. Each file and directory will be owned by the remote user and the permissions will be set to 600 (rw-,---,---) for files and 700 (rwx,---,---) for directories.InstallationExtract the tar archive rsb_x.y.z.tar.gz to an any directory you like.Go into the directory 'foo/rsb_x.y.z' and run the following commands: ./configure, then 'make' to build 'rsb'. To install rsb run 'make install' as root Requirements: - sh or bash - rsync version >= 2.6.5 - ssh - tar - stat - standard shell and UNIX commands like grep, sed, ls, echo - Cygwin for Windows systems
