Marjetica Content Management System is a powerful, easy to use, multiuser, multilanguage, content publishing solution written in PHP using Smarty for templating, MySQL database for data storage and filesystem for file storage. System consists of content hierarchy manager, user manager, content blocks manager and file manager. Hierarchy, containing content blocks, files or links is then published on a templateable and searchable portal system.Each content block can include or can be included in other blocks. Content blocks can be edited using different input methods, depending on editor privileges, which include PHP, HTML and WIKI (Input simplification engine). System can be extended using modules. Features:WIKI style content input WIKI stands for widely used collaborative content creation mechanism which consists of some simple rules for content creation that anyone can acquire in just few minutes, so it is especially useful for content creators with only basic computer knowledge. Simplicity, consistence and presentability When designing a web page, Marjetica follows a natural thinking of creator and thus forces consistent work metodology. Designer first creates table of contents and assigns a contents block or URL to each TOC item. This gives the contents editor an overview of the structure of page from the start. Partition of contents among multiple editors Web site designer can split the creation of contents to multiple editors, so each of the editors is only responsible for his own content block. Using block assigment among multiple editors achieves quality of information across the site, because everyone is responsible for the information he knews best.Nesting of content In certain cases the designer may wish more complex structure of the web page. Marjetica offers an innovative approach called WebBlocks, which enables nesting of blocks, own and from other editors. This way you can tap easily on very complex designs and prevent multiplication of vital data. Multi language option Marjetica is designed from ground up for making multi language sites. It offers creation of multiple Tables of contents - TOC for each language. Each language has its own icon and character set assigned by the site administrator. You still can use language independent blocks troughout the site (lists, tables e.t.c.). Marjetica functionality expansion using Plug-ins You can dimply add new functionality or integrate third party applications in marjetica trough PHP hot plug-in system without taking the site down. Soon plug-ins for statistics, pools, RSS and XML feeds and some eLearning modules will be available.
