The goal is to drive one-time users that comment back to you site to convert them to real registered users. Installation Unpack in your modules folder (usually /sites/all/modules/) and enable under Administer > Site Building > Modules. Key features "Comment Notify": - Mail anonymous users about comment follow-ups - Mail registered users about comment follow-ups - Allow users to unsubscribe from notifications on a specific post with a single click - Allow registered users to preset their follow-up setting in their profile Requirements: - Drupal 5.x/6.x What's New in This Release: - 6.x-1.0 - This is the first stable 6.x compatible release of comment_notify. It is a direct port of the 5.x-2.0 code for this module. - If you were using 5.x-1.* version of the module you must upgrade to 5.x-2.* prior to upgrading to this 6.x version of the module or you will have problem - 5.x-2.1 - if anonymous can't leave an email, hide the checkbox / provide help to admins to get the settings right - comment cleanup, variable naming, removing unused code don't mail to blocked users: - deleted comments are not deleted from comment_notify - if a user can't subscribe to comments don't add form elements to their user edit screen - E-mails are sent only to registered users regression from 289726 - default to on for all node types - coder style cleanups
