The AEC is a component that handles subscriptions to your joomla! Website. It lets you publish plans that users can choose when registering that set their expiration. Via multiple payment gateways, the user then has to issue a payment according to this plan and will be automatically activated when the payment arrives.If the user chose a re-occuring payment (like paypal subscriptions), the account will simply be stay activated, since a payment is issued before his account expires.If he chose a one-time fee, his account will be deactivated. When he tries to login, he will be prompted with an expiration page and can click a "Renew" button to renew his subscription. He will be forwarded to the same payment plans page that he started his subscription with.Here, he can again chose a plan he likes and his account will be upgraded to that. AEC currently supports: - PayPal (normal Buy-Now and subscriptions) - ViaKLIX - Authorize.net We are working on the implementation of further gateways. You also have the choice to offer non-automatic payments to your plans. This way, you can even handle customers who can't pay with one of the payment gateways.
