ZZ FlashChat is a simple chat system. The chat will be available in 2 different versions:a) a CXS-Socket-Server version (like the demo) which is fast, but will not run on every webspace due to server restrictions. The socket server ist fully written in PHP. So chances are quite good that your provider will support it. b) a Mysql-PHP version without a real chat server which should run on every webspace, but is observable slower. Features - multiple rooms - password protected rooms - private messaging - message text formatting in color, size etc. - clickable email and url links - smilies - user avatars - autolink - badwords filter - possibility of sending chat events (sounds and animations) to other users - a variety of console commands to display the time, information about myself etc. - UTF-8: support for different character sets - different languages are supported by a seperated language file. - You guys have to help me translating when the chat is finished. - customizable chat skin (interface, smilies, avatars etc.) - the chat's functionality can easily be configured in an Admin section. - settings can be changed for: rooms, logging, admins & moderators, chat-events, smilies etc. - Chat-Moderators: Users can login as moderators with the right to kick&bann other users, alter or delete messages, create and delete rooms, close the chat - the chat is easily extensible by modules - a user and a developer documentation - install routine with compatibility test
