About World Book Speech Enabler Update
This free downloadable updater contains a number of interesting enhancements for anyone who bought a copy of the World Book for Mac OS X.

- The Speech Enabler: Allows you to navigation World Book using voice commands and to have any of World Book s 18,000 articles read out loud to you. Made with vision-impaired users in mind, but fun for everyone, these speech capabilities use the built-in voice recognition and speech synthesis technologies built into every copy of Mac OS X.

- Spinning Dock Icon: Taking advantage of the new animated dock icon capabilities of Mac OS X 10.1, this edition s enhanced World Book dock icon literally starts spinning when an online update is available. World Book posts article updates and new photos online frequently which World Book owners can download for free. Now you ll know right away when one is waiting for you.

- Enhanced Notepad. The World Book s Notepad now has check-as-you-type spellchecking and the ability to set page breaks. And now you can have the text in your Notepad document turned into an email, opened as a TextEdit document, or even placed automatically on a sticky note. The Notepad comes set up for the youngest user to enjoy but has a customizable toolbar so that you can add features to suit any member of the family.
