About Orthodox Icons ScreenSaver
Contains a set of 12 rotating images of handpainted orthodox icons. Included in the set are icons of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Mother of God, Guardian Angel, and several saints. Original icons were painted by Hieromonk Andrei and other iconographers at Holy Trinity Monastery, Jordanville, NY. The rotation of the icons is meant to show the golden background effect. If you have images of orthhodox handpainted icons, their background appears to be of a yellowish color without any shine. However, the rotation makes icons to look three dimensional, and makes their golden background to reflect light and shine.
