The CAM editor is the leading open source XML Editor/Validation/Schema designer for building and deploying XML information exchanges with canonical component dictionaries. Provides a visual WYSIWYG structure with drag and drop dictionary components + rules entry wizards. Will import, analyze and refactor existing XML Schema.

Creates XSD schema, Mindmap or UML models (XMI), XML test suite examples, HTML documentation + spreadsheets (NIEM IEPDs). XSD schema export in default, flatten, NIEM, and OASIS modes. Generates dictionaries from schema sets, ERwin models, or spreadsheets.
The XML CAM templates (OASIS public standard) store the exchange structure, content models, code list enumerations, SQL table lookups, + business logic (XPath rules). The included CAMV validation engine, written in Java, provides a complete XML exchange handling framework.
Developed in Java/Eclipse + Saxon XSLT.
