Escape From The Maze 0.906

An old-style party-based first-person 3D fantasy CRPG, inspired by Wizardy 7. Escape From The Maze ships with a playable default campaign and a detailed campaign editor. The default campaign database contains 30 character classes, 12 playable races (and three genders), over 800 items, over 200 spells across seven spellbooks, over 200 foes and 36 NPCs to encounter, and 25 distinct zones to explore.

Project components include the Maze RPG engine, the Crusader 3D renderer, and the DIY-UI toolkit. Maze is a flexible data driven RPG engine. Characters have over 50 different stats, every one of which can be modified by a large number of things including the characters own equipment, companions, companions equipment, the current tile, and an open ended number of conditions. The Crusader render is a pseudo-3D raycaster with some advanced features like edge-casting, alpha blending and lighting effects. DIY-UI is a UI toolkit to bring Swing-style coding to Java 2D graphics apps.
