A PaneCutter program a lap alaku alapanyagok (laminaltlap, MDF lap, uveglap, femlemez, stb.) vagasi tervenek automatikus generalasara keszult, butorkeszito-, uveges-, es egyebb muhelyek szamara, amelyek termekskalaja szeles vagy allandoan valtozik. A PaneCutter kifinomult, rekurziv algoritmusanak koszonhetoen megtalalja az optimalis vagasi tervet a leheto legkissebb veszteseggel. Tobb lehetseges megoldast kinal, a megoldasok mindig ugy vannak sorbarendezve, hogy a legoptimalisabb van az elso helyen, a legkevesebe optimalis az utolson. A felhasznalo kivalaszthatja a neki legmegfelelobb varianst (mindig az elso ajanlott) A foablakon a felhasznalo be tudja allitani az alapanyag lap, illetve a kivagando darabok hosszusagat es szelesseget. Ezek az adatok elmenthetoek es a kesobbiek soran eloszedhetoek egy utolagos atalakitasert. Nem szukseges az adatok mentese az optimalizalasi muvelet elinditasahoz. Bizonyos alapanyagok eseteben (pl. uveglap, femlemez, stb) nem szamit melyik dimenzioja a hosszusag es melyik a szelesseg. Ezekben az esetekben egy takarekosabb eredmeny elereseert, a felhasznalo hasznalhatja a „Darabok forgatasa engedelyezett” opciot. A kivagando darabok dimenzioinak a megadasa utan meg kell nyomni a „Szamitas” gombot, az optimalizalasi muvelet elinditasahoz. Ennek a muveletnek az idotartama a szamitogep sebessegetol illetve a kivagando darabok szamatol fugg. Ezutan a felhasznalonak tobb lehetseges megoldas is fel van ajalva megjelenitesre. Minden egyes alapanyag lap a hozza tartozo vagasi tervel, megjelenitheto a kepernyon es egy gomb lenyomasaval akar ki is nyomtathato.
