The software has been designed as universal software for security hybrid platforms functioning at the same time with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same look and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Customers watch MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the program via net that surveillance station can be run without screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Software`s modular composition significantly boosts reliability because all modules operate as autonomous programs. If one module stops working, other parts continue working. For instance if the `capture` module freezes, `watchdog` restarts it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture via a `playback` module. The software does `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be triggered by movement, human face detection, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on apart pc using Web interface. The software makes synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple cameras simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded data can be encrypted and password protected.
