The software has been designed as general product for surveillance hybrid platforms working concurrently with wireless and wired IP webcams, TV-boards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the same appearance and controls on the local and distant computers. Customers watch MPEG coded video and have complete management of the program via net that surveillance pc can be operated without monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular structure significantly increases reliability because all units act as independent software. If one module stops working, other components keep on working. For example if the `capture` unit fails, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching video via a `playback` module. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never happens. The recording can be constant or it can be started by activity, human face recognition, or by timetable. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance computer as well as on distant computer via Web interface. The software makes synchronized video playback for event examination from many cameras concurrently. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
