The software has been designed as general program for surveillance hybrid platforms running concurrently with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the similar form and controls on the local and apart workstations. Customers watch MPEG coded video and have full management of the program through network that security computer can be operated without monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular composition extensively improves reliability because all parts operate as independent software. If one part fails, other components go on working. For instance if the `record` component freezes, `watchdog` restarts it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture through a `playback` unit. The program does `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be triggered by movement, human face detection, or by calendar. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on remote workstation using Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple cameras concurrently. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
