The program has been designed as common software for surveillance cross platforms working all together with wireless and wired Internet cameras, TV-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the similar appearance and controls on the local and remote workstations. Customers watch MPEG coded video and have full control of the software using network that security server can be run without screen, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular composition extensively increases reliability because all modules act as independent applications. If one part freezes, other parts go on working. For instance if the `capture` component fails, `watchdog` restarts it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video through a `playback` part. The program performs `cyclic` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be constant or it can be triggered by activity, human face detection, or by schedule. The software has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance server as well as on distant server via Web interface. The program performs synchronized video playback for event examination from many webcams concurrently. Also recorded files can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
