The program has been created as general software for security hybrid platforms working simultaneously with wireless and wired Internet cameras, Television-cards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal look and functionality on the local and apart workstations. Users view MPEG coded picture and have complete control of the program through network that surveillance computer can be operated without screen, keyboard, and mouse attached. Software`s modular structure drastically increases reliability because all parts proceed as autonomous programs. If one module freezes, other components go on running. For instance if the `capture` part fails, `watchdog` restarts it immediately that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing picture through a `playback` module. The software makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never occurs. The recording can be constant or it can be started by activity, human face detection, or by calendar. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance workstation as well as on apart computer through Web interface. The program performs synchronized video playback for event analysis from multiple webcams simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded files can be encrypted and password protected.
