The program has been created as general application for security hybrid platforms functioning all together with wireless and wired IP webcams, Television-cards, capture boards, power-line, and USB cameras. It has web interface with the equal form and functionality on the local and remote workstations. Users watch MPEG-4 coded picture and have full control of the software through net that surveillance pc can be run with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse connected. Program`s modular composition significantly increases reliability because all components operate as independent applications. If one component stops working, other units go on running. For instance if the `record` unit stops working, `watchdog` starts again it right away that users don`t notice anything because they are viewing video via a `playback` component. The software does `cyclic` recording that the `disk full` situation never occurs. The recording can be non-stop or it can be started by activity, human face recognition, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty simple and performs on the surveillance station as well as on distant computer via Web interface. The software makes simultaneous video playback for event analysis from many webcams at the same time. Also recorded information can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
