EASIS Data Eraser is made for secure erasing hard drives, partitions and all other storage devices supported by windows. Secure erasing means overwriting all data with specially, well selected fixed or random patterns. EASIS Data Eraser has implemented several algorithm to erase your data in one or more cycles. More erasing cycles should help to overwriting possible edge magnetization. EASIS Data Eraser writes a simple log file with information about the erasure process.

A secure hard drive erasure is highly recommended if you want to sell your hard drive or leave you hard drive to third party.

EASIS Data Eraser don't erase HPA or DCO sections on hard drives. Normally, this sections should be free from private data. Reallocated or remapped sectors cannot be erased. You can check the count of remapped sector with the most S.M.A.R.T. tools, including 'EASIS drive check'.
EASIS Data Eraser has implemented a intelligent bad sector handling.
