Canure 2.3 Beta 1

Simply speaking, Canure is a web browser, that allows you to navigate your way throughout the internet. Viewing images or watching videos, Canure can do it all.

Instead of wasting time in making a webpage rendering engine, we modified a free wrapper for WebKit to add cool new features such as HTML5, CSS3, Hardware Acceleration, GPU Acceleration and many more features, while keeping it light. Doing it was not easy, as we have to tackle many debugging issues and at last, we even had to modify the WebKit itself! Then, the work became simpler, making Canure took less than a month. Canure was programmed in the .NET language while some parts were covered in C++ like the Canure JavaScript Compiler (cjvc), which can compile and executes JavaScript codes quickly (261.6ms). The toughest part of making Canure was adding support of Hardware and GPU Acceleration. We learned that .NET doesn't support HW/GPU acceleration so we had to program the Acceleration Libraries separately in C++ and referencing them through .NET. Even that created problems for us as whenever we took a test, Canure crashed.

After a lot of hard work, we finally made it running. While giving out betas to people, we learned that people's main goal is the Internet. As the web is progressing, people want to access information quickly as possible. Whether watching a video or loading a webpage, nobody likes to wait! And people want better ways to be in contact with their friends or relatives. Canure automatically connects you with people. We want the internet to come near the people, not the opposite. And after all, the web is all yours! And the best part of Canure is - its open-source, Any one can see whats the recipe behind Canure, and help us in build a platform, which is, first of all, fast and integrated with the Web and its technologies.
