PCs should be regularly backed up to disk or external storage devices : Idem will maintain copies of original files on a server so that those files will routinely be saved with server backups.
Designed also to operate between a Windows NT and a Linux PC with WinNT emulator or to propagate / distribute documents and file changes from a master computer or location to other connected machine drives in a push/pull method.

At regular time interval, checks a list of source folders and mirror files updating target folders with new or modified sub-folders and files. It distributes and secures critical data duplicating it from a master computer location to another.

Used to create a data mirror for disaster recovery or to backup files, move files throughout your computers (workstation, laptop, servers), safely synchronize directories. You can use Idem to synchronize laptop data on a network and for real-time mirroring of folders on ZIP drive, CD-RW, removable hard disk, network drives, local hard disk.
Idem is distinguishable from other mirroring or clustering products by its ability to fully preserve Macintosh filenames and structures when stored on a Windows NT/2000 server.

This software solution for synchronizing important folders across network drives or simply maintain backups is fully automated and designed to operate also on Windows Servers as a Windows NT/2000/XP service or in command line mode for batch processing.
