TrackTheLinks Web Browser scans a website, finds new content and displays it in a time-sensitive navigation list. When the navigation list is clicked, an integrated browser goes directly to the new content, reducing the need to go back to the home page. It's time-saving design will especially appeal to anyone interested in news and sports who never want to miss a story.
It's a brand new way to browse the web and works like this: Select a bookmark. The site is scanned and its contents compared with the last time you visited the site. New links are added to a navigational list. Links that are older than the time you specified are removed from the list. The list is similar to a table of contents and is very efficient and user friendly. It's possible to read over 1,000 links in less than an hour.
To navigate, click on the list and the browser goes directly to the linked article. If you click on another link you'll bypass the home page; no more going back and forth. If you should happen to navigate away from the page, select the list again and you'll be right back at the linked article. To Google an interesting part of a page, highlight some text and press ‘G' or enter the search terms in the browser bar.
Use an alert to monitor websites. TrackTheLinks supports up to 15 sites scanned at 15 minute intervals. For very active sites, use an alert so you never miss a link that was replaced by another article. For important sites, choose a ‘pop-up' alert which will inform you when an article has been added to the site. To view all alert results in one place, add the alert to the ‘Newswire' folder.
TrackTheLinks is the home version of ScoopTheWeb, which has an unlimited number of alerts and adds the ability to mark and edit stories from the web.
