SSR CMD is an interactive scripting tool, designed to make working with SSRS faster and more flexible, enabling you to be more productive with your time.
How is it interactive?
You type directly into the command line. With a single command you can change a description, create a folder, export to file, for example: Command -
-secdiff- will show security differences
-tree- shows folder tree structure
-createall- bulk uploads all reports and resources to the server
How easy is it to use?
SSRS CMD is incredibly easy to use! It uses the same familiar commands as MS DOS or Command Prompt. It wraps many API commands into a single command meaning fewer keystrokes, fewer errors, resulting in greater consistency. It also has interactive help! No more waiting for forum responses. Just type HELP -
-COMMAND- eg. help cd
You might want to upload multiple reports to the server. Do it with a single command. If an item already exists- you have the option to backup before overwriting, and because it is optionally recursive you can include the folder and any sub-folders. No scripts needed.
How does the single command work?
Unlike RS Scripter you do not have to use multiple commands to create batch files, run batch files- just use a single command. Essentially SSRS CMD pre-scripts more than 90 commands meaning you can work much more quickly, more accurately, more consistently. It is the ideal for managing your SSRS environment
You can backup and restore subscriptions in bulk. SSRS CMD exports to Excel in the same format as SSRS Subscription Manager.
