LAN Search Pro is a free utility for fast file searching across your local network. You can search for specific file names or for specific file types (e.g. all MP3 files). LAN Search Pro provides a lightning fast search engine and includes the ability to search within hidden network resources, restricted access resources, IP subnets, LAN FTP servers and much more. It comes with a built-in password manager to store network logins for the resources with restricted access. Besides the file searching capabilities, LAN Search Pro offers features that allow you to perform actions on the found items (copy, move, rename etc.) and also save these operations in the form of .bat files, which can be used as templates for batch processing. Additional features include result sorting, filtering, search within results and more. Portable version is also available.

Comments:

This program is great if you need to find a file fast over your network and don't want to slow down your resources with a full windows network search. It runs pretty fast and is very easy to use. I do wish it had a print function, but you can export it to another file and print that way, so no biggie. Also, if you need to cancel a search in the middle, it takes a while to cancel. Otherwise, this is a great little tool.
