The program has been designed as common program for surveillance hybrid platforms working at the same time with wireless and wired IP webcams, TV-boards, capture cards, power-line, and USB webcams. It has web interface with the equal appearance and controls on the local and remote pcs. Users view MPEG-4 coded video and have complete management of the program through network that surveillance computer can be operated with no monitor, keyboard, and mouse attached. Program`s modular composition extensively increases reliability because all parts act as independent applications. If one unit stops working, other units keep on working. For instance if the `capture` part fails, `watchdog` starts over it instantly that users don`t notice anything because they are watching picture using a `playback` unit. The software makes `repeated` recording that the `hard drive full` situation never appears. The recording can be constant or it can be triggered by motion, human face detection, or by timetable. The program has pre-alarm and post-alarm recording. Playing back recorded video is pretty easy and performs on the surveillance pc as well as on distant workstation through Web interface. The software performs synchronized video playback for event examination from multiple webcams simultaneously. Also recorded data can be searched by date, time or by face detected. All recorded information can be encrypted and password protected.
