DVD Assist is an Applescript "Stay Open" applet to enable Front Row to select VIDEO_TS folders, disc images and MPEG2 transport streams stored on your hard drive, or any volume accessible from the Finder with adequate throughput.DVD Assist uses "placeholder" movies that Front Row can display. When Front Row plays one of the placeholder movies, the appropriate media player is launched and commanded to play the matching media. DVD Player is used for VIDEO_TS folders and UDF disc images, VLC is used for MPEG2 transport streams.
