MacPrefect is a desktop control system used to protect shared machines from the ravages of naive ormalicious users the world over. Used extensively within the education environment MacPrefectmaintains machines in a standard state. Once a machine has been configured to look and work asrequired, MacPrefect keeps it that way - folder structures are maintained, the system folder isprotected, control panel settings are maintained and software cannot be added or deleted from themachine.
