Annotation Sniffer was developed as an Eclipse plugin in order to enable a quantitative assessment of complexity and coupling in applications that contain Java Annotations. Basically, this plugin exposes bad smells related to the use of Java Annotations on Java source code.

This demo illustrates a simple approach to perform taxonomy annotation of BLAST hits. It requires three taxonomy files gi_taxid_prot.dmp, names.dmp and nodes.dmp, which can be downloaded from the NCBI taxonomy FTP site.
